Pomalo Digital is a Croatian company. We build the booking, payment and compliance platform behind boat tours, rentals and shops across the country, and we design the websites that sit on top of it.
On the name
/pɔ·ˈma·lo/ · adverb · Dalmatian
Slowly. Easy. Without rush, but never without care.
It's what people say to each other on the riva when there's work to do and no good reason to panic. It's also how we try to build software: carefully, once, so you aren't starting again next season.
Running a boat, a villa or a shop is enough to hold in your head. The software should be the calm part of the day.
Why we built it
The businesses that make the Croatian coast worth visiting are mostly small: one boat, three apartments, a family grove. They were handing a quarter of every booking to a platform abroad, then running the rest of the business across a website builder, a calendar, a card terminal, a spreadsheet and a bookkeeper.
None of those tools spoke to each other, and none of them understood Croatian fiscalisation. When the rules moved to Fiskalizacija 2.0 and eRačun, the gap got wider.
So we built one system that does all of it, priced so it only does well when your own site does.
